Alongside our sponsors, Danske Bank, Ulster Schools GAA recognises the achievements of a footballer player every month from across the spectrum of ongoing games and competitions.

For January, the footballer of the Month is Conor Lagan from Holy Cross College.

Conor is a member of Naomh Eoghan, and played corner forward for the Holy cross team that reached the Markey Cup final. He was nominated based off his skill and ability showcased throughout the competition as well as his leadership and attitude towards the game, his team, opposition and managers.

The Holy Cross player stands out on any pitch which has been noticed by multiple schools across Ulster.
