St.Patricks Academy Dungannon got their Danske Bank MacRory Cup campaign off to a winning start when they ran out comfortable thirteen point winners over St.Macartans Monaghan at Stewartstown on Wednesday evening. It was a game that the winners always led in although it was only in the second half that they made their dominance count on the scoreboard.

The winners led 0-7 to 0-3 at the interval with points coming from Liam McGeary, Darragh Devlin, Rian Biggs, Charlie Maguire and Eoin Long, Cian Treanor and Daithi Harvey on target for the visitors.

The second half was only twenty five seconds old when Long blasted in a brilliant goal with James Mulgrew and McGeary tagging on points. Charle O’Brien responded with a Monghan goal and there were points from Harvey, and Conor Kierans before Dungannon assumed control. Long and Davin McKeown got further goals with McGreary, Long, Biggs, Mulgrew and Aaohan Quinn adding points.
