St Malachy’s Castlewellan lift first silverware of the season

The first silverware of the 2021/22 season has been claimed, with St Malachy’s Castlewellan winning the southern section of the Danske Bank Rehill Cup. Their success came at the expense of St. Joseph’s Donaghmore, who produced a gallant display over hurling over the 60 minutes only to fall short.

Captain James McAleenan collected the Shield on behalf of his teammates, the schools first hurling title in a number of years.
